Another Reason to Become SKPA Accredited
Special Kids
Photography of America is raising the bar to become accredited.
Nevertheless, with accreditation, the photographer will get more perks.
On the organizations' photographer resource page accredited photographers have been separated
from the entire list and moved to the top of the page. This really
allows them to stand out from all the others!www.specialkidsphotography.com/photographers.htm
What's more, Spitfire Pro Photo
E-commerce store fronts and image archives (www.spitfirephoto.com), has agreed to support SKPA
by providing individual galleries for SKPA-Accredited photographers.
Of course, one other big reason to become accredited is to be able to provide
training in SKPA workshops in their own region of the country.
Here are some photographic examples of recently accredited
photographers.

Images shown here are by recently
accredited husband & wife, David and Lynne Becker. |

SKPA Reaches Milestone
with Convention Brass re
Print Competition Category
Two nationally recognized
conven- tions for professional photographers have consented to open a
new cate- gory in print competition that will be dedicated to images of
"special children."
The two conventions are Children and Family Photographers of
America (www.cfpamerica.com) and
Prophoto Expo operated by Professional Photographers of California (PCC)
in Pasadena (www.prophotoca.com).
For those of you who have compe-tition-quality images, be sure to enter
them in these competitions to achieve merits, or the experience or just
plain feeling of achievement.
Prophoto Expo is held in February and is over for this year. But CFPA is
coming up in July (Austin, TX). So there's still a chance to enter a
special child image in print competition!
Contact your regional convention to ask if they will open a print
competition category to "Special Kids." Direct them to SKPA to obtain a
draft outline for ideas on how to set it up. |
