Time to think about PPA and WPPI
Many photographers have already
made plans to attend PPA's ImagingUSA in Phoenix (Jan. 11-13) or WPPI
(Wedding and Portrait Photographers International), to be held in Las
Vegas February
14-19.

These two gigantic national
conventions are held early in the year and are well-worth the investment
of time and resources it takes to attend. There's excitement,
camaraderie, fantastic education from the experts and equipment bargains
galore at the trade show.
Both of these national organizations have generously provided a
booth to Special Kids Photography of America and also attach a limited
amount of full-convention registrations for persons who staff the booth.
If you are planning to attend one or both of these conventions,
please consider spending time in the SKPA booth to let people know about
the benefits of becoming affiliated with or accredited by SKPA.
Affiliation benefits everyone—the child, the family, the community and
also the photographer!
Please contact us to place your name on the schedule. Longer
hours are scheduled for WPPI; therefore, more convention passes are
available.
If you have ever attended a national imaging convention, you know this is a
singular opportunity to hone your photographic skills and renew your
finest creative juices. If you have never
attended, make this a "must" for your 2009 "To do" list.

Lisa Jane Murphy loves the work!
Lisa Jane Murphy is
known for her angelic images and fantasy fairy set-ups. She has just
completed a another book containing her beautiful portraits of children.
Around the time Lisa Jane took our SKPA workshop, she asked the
publisher to allow her to add an image of a child with Down syndrome.
Out of 175 shots, she reports getting only three showing the girl
looking up.
Lisa says one of the images shown above is an "outtake;"
but to us,
all are so beautiful! For the final "angel," she straightened the
eyes and added the wings.
