Special Kids Photography of America offers accreditation for successful completion of workshop training and other course requirements. This complete training package is offered in live workshops. The same training and accreditation opportunity is also available on CD. Completion of the 1-day workshop or thorough study of the workshop CD is the first step of the accreditation process.  The a la Carte training includes the same learning objectives as the in-person workshop. A la Carte Training

Special Kids Photography training may also be purchased as a stand-alone (a la carte) item without the books, testing and photo submission process. This form of training may also be available at some in-person 1-day workshops and is also available as a CD in our store. If completion of the accreditation process is desired at a later date, additional items may also be purchased a la carte. It includes the exact training points that are part of the SKPA Accreditation Workshop package. However, it DOES NOT include books, test, photo submission and review process or other benefits that are part of the entire package. However, never fear; the other components may be purchased later. Wait! Fear now. If purchased later, the cost may be higher for individual items. 

SKPA-Accredited Photographers

SKPA-Accredited photographers may be accessed on this website. They are by organized by area and state. It should be noted, however, that although SKPA accreditation exemplifies an indication of increased skill base and understanding, it is not a guarantee that a particular photographer is right for each and every assignment. Photographers should be interviewed and their work reviewed prior to their engagement for an actual photo session. Although SKPA provides information on how to adapt certain photographic techniques (lighting, for example) to achieve success in a photo session with a special child, basic photographic skills are not provided. SKPA expects a SKPA-accredited photographer's portraits to reflect professional skills and achievement.
