Katie had pneumonia when Sally Harding took this photograph. The slight indentation on the side of Katie's face is a tell-tale reminder of the tube from the breathing apparatus that was temporarily removed for the photo. Sally had discontinued her wedding photography activity to afford more time to photograph children with disabilities. Sally's new zeal and recruitment activities lead to an opportunity to offer services to Katie's family. Had Sally not "put herself in the right place at the right time," Katie's mother would not have the wonderful—yet naturally infectious—remembrances of this delightful spirit. Sadly, Katie passed away a few days after the photo was taken. Katie's mom went back and forth between tears and laughter as she viewed the proofs. "You have really captured Katie," she said. "Each picture shows a unique aspect of Katie's personality." Smiles for Katie Photo
