Become a SKPA Trainer

|
Criteria for
becoming a trainer |
|
You can
become a trainer in your part of the country
Here's what you need to do:
-
To
be eligible to teach the SKPA full-day accreditation course in
your area, you must first become fully accredited with Special
Kids Photography yourself.
-
Complete the SKPA Trainer Application Form, stating prior
training experience (experience not confined to photography) and
other required information.
-
Secure the provisional training license and materials for $499
(includes Morning and Afternoon Training Manuals with script and
complete CD with over 500 slides on PowerPoint 2003 software).
You must have PowerPoint 2003 or later edition for software to
perform correctly.
-
You
must hold a training at least twice yearly to maintain the
license. There is no required number of attendees. Your license
to train will be reviewed after 2 years. Continuation of the
license will be based on evaluation forms submitted by attendees
and upon their test scores. In other words, you must provide the
information in a manner whereby attendees will understand the
material well enough to pass the test.
-
Trainers may charge from $199 to $249 for the all-day workshop,
of which a $20 donation will be forwarded to SKPA for each
attendee. The package fee includes the $50 exam/photo review fee
(also forwarded to SKPA). The fee also includes the two workshop
books, which the trainer may purchase at a discount. Books may
also be sold on the trainer's webiste.
